What is FAFSA?
FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This form is used to determine the amount of money a family is expected to contribute to the price of attending a postsecondary institution. The results of the FAFSA are used in determining student grants, work study, and loan amounts, The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available on October 1st at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.
CSS PROFILE:
The CSS Profile is only required by some colleges. To learn which colleges require a CSS please visit the following: student.collegeboard.org/content/css-financial-aid-profile
What To Do For CSS:
1. Check the list to see if any of the colleges to which you are applying require a CSS Profile.
2. Register for your personalized CSS PROFILE application at http://student.collegeboard.org/css-financial-aid-profile beginning in October.
